who we are
The Vike’s and Nasilowski’s met as founding members of the Rotary Club of Sun Peaks and volunteers of the Sun Peaks Fire Hall. Sonya and Melissa worked together on multiple events with Rotary while Kyle and Pat built a friendship out of their passion for the outdoors and the fire hall. One night we were all having dinner and discussing the impending legalization of cannabis when we realized each couple was hoping to open a retail store in Sun Peaks. Knowing we were stronger collectively, we decided to team up and set our on our plan.
Where did the name Flight Deck come from? The idea sprung from Kyle Vike who was previously a high performance aircraft mechanic, with his father having a true passion for flight having operated a former aviation engine company this pays homage and continues his family legacy. The Flight Deck is the location where a plane takes off from, we felt the metaphor of flight complimented the cannabis industry. Along with this our location in Sun Peaks is an international travel destination it just made sense to have an ode to travel in our theme.
